Tote launches Ten to Follow Mini Game for Royal Ascot

Monday 7th June 2021

Today, the Tote launches the first ever Tote Ten to Follow Mini Game for Royal Ascot.

The Mini Game is open, allowing players to pick stables of 10 horses to compete across the five days of the Royal meeting.

The cost to enter the paid game is £5 (entries unlimited), with all stakes being redistributed as prizes and pay outs going down to the 500th position.  The more people who enter, the bigger the prize pot to be distributed.

In the free-to-play game (one free entry per person), there are a number of racing-specific prizes, kindly supported by Ascot Racecourse. These are:

  • 1st prize: 2022 annual membership for 2022, covering all racedays in the King Edward enclosure (except Royal Ascot)

  • 2nd prize: Hospitality for two on Victoria Cup day in 2022

  • 3rd prize: Two tickets for Royal Ascot 2022 (Tuesday or Wednesday)

Players have until 12 noon on Tuesday 15th June to submit their stables.

Points are scored when a horse wins or places and depend on the quality of the race and the price of the horse. The Mini Game has six bonus races, which are worth an additional 25 points for a win and 12 points for finishing second. These races during Royal Ascot are:

  • Queen Anne Stakes

  • King’s Stand Stakes

  • Prince of Wales Stakes

  • Gold Cup

  • Commonwealth Cup

  • Diamond Jubilee Stakes

For example, Circus Maximus won the Queen Anne last year and received 25 points for a Group 1, 25 points for the bonus race, 3.75 for his win return, and 1.70 points for his place return on the Tote. This equalled a grand total of 55.45 points. The biggest scorer at Royal Ascot last year would have been Nando Parrado in the Coventry Stakes with 157.45 points.

The full list of eligible horses, scoring system and rules are available on tote.co.uk.

The winner of the Ten to Follow Cheltenham Festival Mini Game, Stephen West, won over £10,300.
