Tote launches Ten to Follow for the Flat Season

  • Flat Competition open from Saturday 24th April until 11am on Saturday 1st May

  • Jumps Competition concludes on Saturday 24th April at Sandown Park

This is an exciting week for Tote Ten to Follow fans.

Nearly 45,000 stables are competing in the 2020/21 Jumps season competition, which concludes at Sandown Park on Saturday. The overall winner will take home £104,832 with cash prizes down to 100th place. The winner of the free-to-play league will win £5,000.

The current leading stable is “Tipperwood” on 860.32 points and the top scoring horses in the 2020/21 season with over 100 points each are Honeysuckle (132.94), Shishkin (132.72), Monkfish (119.08) and Abacadabras (102.92).

Since relaunching Ten to Follow in November 2019, there have been over £500,000 worth of prizes won by successful players. The 2019/20 Jumps season competition saw Richard Hutchinson win over £177,000, followed by Robin Green winning over £64,000 in the 2020 Flat season competition.

Launch of Ten to Follow Competition for the Flat Season

Entries for the 2021 Flat season competition will open at 8am on Saturday 24th April, with players able to submit stables until 11am on Saturday 1st May ahead of QIPCO 2000 Guineas Day at Newmarket Racecourse.

It costs £5 (€5.50) per stable to enter the paid game (entries unlimited), with all stakes from players being redistributed as prizes with pay outs going down to the 500th position. The highest scoring stable at the end of the competition will win 35% of the prize pool, with the highest scoring stable in each calendar month, from May to September inclusive, awarded a prize of 3% of the total paid stakes.

In the free-to-play game (one free entry per player), the winner will receive a pair of annual memberships to a British or Irish racecourse of their choice. The highest scoring stable each month will be awarded a prize of six tickets (Member/Club/Country or equivalent) to a race meeting of their choice.

There will be a mid-season nine-day transfer window in August between the Qatar Goodwood Festival and York’s Ebor meeting with players able to switch up to two horses in their stables.

Tote Ten to Follow Charity League for the Flat Season

As with previous competitions, the Tote will be hosting a Charity League with a top prize of £5,000 for Flat season.

The 2020 Flat season Charity League was won by ITV Racing’s Editor Paul Cooper who split his winnings between WellChild and the Irish Cancer Society. The first Jumps season Charity League for 2019/20 was won by Davy Russell and the 2020/21 Jumps season competition currently sees Racing TV’s Lydia Hislop with a clear lead of over 130 points, with the Racing Post’s Paul Kealy in second and Ruby Walsh in third.
