New Tote Guarantee available for racing fans every day at the Cheltenham Festival

Racegoers betting with the Tote at The Cheltenham Festival next week will benefit from extra value after the Tote, Jockey Club Racecourses and Britbet agreed the new Tote Guarantee will be offered on course across all four days of Jump Racing’s biggest event.
Tote Guarantee ensures the Tote will always match the industry Starting Price (SP) or exceed it if the pool price is bigger on all Win bets. It went live on tote.co.uk in February. In 2019, the Tote Win beat SP on the winner of 2,887 races in the UK. On winning horses priced over 12/1, the Tote Win paid more than the SP the majority of the time. With Tote Guarantee in place racegoers and tote.co.uk customers can have the confidence to bet on any horse with the Tote and get SP or better on Win bets every time.
Tote Guarantee has been trialled across a range of racecourses in February and generated an uplift in turnover, as well as positive feedback from customers. Now Jockey Club Racecourses and its pool betting service provider, Britbet, have agreed with the UK Tote Group to extend the trial to make it available to the 265,000+ racegoers who will attend The Cheltenham Festival between Tuesday 10th and Friday 13th March, and at all other racecourses operating on those days.
